The 'Icicle Trophy'
was held on 7th December, the weather was fine and sunny- there was
very little wind but the direction was steady. We had 27 entries,
the racing was close all day with the trophy going again to Eastbourne's
Ken Binks.

The trophy for the most
improved helmsman of 2008 was awarded to Gerry Ledger.

Peter Revill was awarded
a 'Very Highly Commended' for his Envoy Armed Admiralty Tug at Ascot

Dave Brumstead A first
in Kit Class at this year's Nationals with Robin Lee gaining a second.
- Paul Freshney had a first in the Exact
Class and has recently taken up the position of Editor of the 'Model
Boats' magazine.
- On 17th August Peter Spence won the
'Coventry Trophy', with Mark Dennis in second place and Barry Raven
third.
- Congratulations to George Beacroft on the 6m National Championships,
the Eastern District 6m Championship and the 6m 2002 Trophy. He is
the first to win the BIG triple.
- The Brentwood Yachting League 2008
was won by Barry Raven, with John Newton second and John Richmond
third.
- Barry Raven regained the Roy Hunter Trophy for 2008.
